Job summary

Terracon in Utah is seeking a senior engineering professional to provide engineering consulting, lead field investigations, analysis, and report preparation. You will manage project phases, supervise staff, coordinate with project teams, and contribute to client proposals and marketing efforts.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5-8 years' experience; a Master's degree is preferred and a valid driver's license may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 5-8 years' experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering preferred.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Provide and lead continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
• Provide consistent quality standards on project and proposal delivery.
• Manage detailed phases of projects with moderate size and complexity.
• Independently perform a variety of projects or segments of larger projects.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
• Work closely with senior project managers to gain experience for more complex projects.
• Make design, engineering, and construction recommendations and modifications.
• Prepare proposals and reports for projects of varying complexity.
• Perform quality control review of proposals.
• Evaluate laboratory and field data for reports.
• Serve as a technical adviser to junior team members.
• Interact with clients and project teams on scope, progress, findings and recommendations.
• Write and prepare routine and complex engineering reports detailing services.
• Participate in marketing, sales and business development.
• Supervise graduate, field and project engineering staff.
• Work under supervision of Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
• Begin documented mentoring and certification process for Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
