Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical design, ground investigations, and technical reporting for exciting infrastructure projects in the US. You will work with a talented team and contribute to mine slope stability, tailings dam design, and site investigations.

You will mentor mid-level and junior staff, support business development, and may serve as Engineer of Record on select projects. Occasional travel and collaboration with international teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a closely related field.
• Master’s degree preferred in civil/geotechnical engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership in Mining Sector Team.
• Apply geotechnical engineering principles to surface mining projects (tailings, open pits, reclamation).
• Perform geotechnical reviews and input on large-scale projects across US and internationally.
• Mentor junior staff and foster high-performing teams.
• Support business development by pursuing growth opportunities with clients.
• Act as Engineer of Record on appropriate projects with technical excellence.
