Qualifications

• 6-8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or North Carolina.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for site meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations.
• Manage multiple projects ensuring quality, budget, and schedule compliance.
• Mentor and train junior technical staff.

Strong knowledge of regulations (state and federal)

Subsurface geology

Soil and rock mechanics

Hydrogeology

Geotechnical site assessment

Field investigation techniques

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to interpret and utilize environmental data

Project management skills

Soils laboratory testing procedures

Education

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with a geotechnical focus

Master's degree (preferred)
