Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering (BLE) in Fletcher, NC seeks an experienced Project Engineer to lead geotechnical, environmental, and civil projects through planning, execution, and closure. The role emphasizes hands-on project engineering and staff leadership within BLE's Geotechnical Group.

The ideal candidate holds a PE license (NC) or reciprocity, with 5–12 years in geotechnical work and a proven track record managing complex assignments from conception to completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Licensed PE in North Carolina or eligible for reciprocity.
• 5–12 years of geotechnical engineering and/or materials testing, with 3+ years in supervision.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements.
• Knowledge of geosynthetics.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and staff.
• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance and sampling.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and resources.
• Maintain strong client relationships and communicate progress clearly.
• Ensure quality control and conformance with industry standards.
