Job summary

SOCOTEC US is seeking a Senior Project Geotechnical Engineer or Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our Salt Lake City, Utah office. The role focuses on leading geotechnical projects, client communication, and mentoring junior staff.

Ideal candidates hold a PE, have 10+ years in geotechnical engineering, and possess strong knowledge of geotechnical disciplines, with additional experience in geophysical and environmental aspects considered an asset.

Qualifications

• PE license is required.
• Minimum 10+ years in geotechnical industry performing relevant duties.
• Strong geotechnical engineering knowledge.
• Experience with geophysical and environmental aspects is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist with marketing and business development.
• Prepare geotechnical proposals, including scopes of services and proposed fees.
• Respond to technical questions for project solicitations.
• Manage geotechnical projects.
• Evaluate geologic and seismic hazards.
• Prepare geotechnical evaluation reports.
• Maintain client relationships.
• Work directly with clients to assure successful project completion.
• Provide direction and review engineering work products prepared by others.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior staff.
