Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for our corporate office in New Rochelle, NY. The role focuses on technical leadership for geotechnical activities supporting heavy civil infrastructure projects, coordinating with estimation, preconstruction, and field teams.

The candidate will develop practical foundation and earthwork solutions, review plans, manage geotechnical data, and mentor junior staff, ensuring OSHA compliance and project standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering experience supporting heavy civil or infrastructure projects.
• Professional Engineer license (NY/NJ).
• Experience with design-build projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and interpret subsurface investigations and geotechnical field explorations.
• Develop geotechnical reports, analyses, and design recommendations for foundations, earthworks, and ground improvement.
• Support construction teams with foundation installation, earthwork operations, dewatering, instrumentation, and monitoring.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical development within the team.
