Job summary

GHD in the Savannah, GA area seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to provide expert geotechnical and civil engineering services across a diverse portfolio of clients.

You will lead geotechnical project coordination and client engagement, perform evaluations and calculations for shallow and deep foundations, ground improvement, retaining walls, slope stability, pavement sections, and slabs-on-grade, and prepare signed submittals as Engineer of Record.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting geotechnical evaluations and calculations for foundations.
• Ability to prepare signed geotechnical submittals as Engineer of Record.
• Experience overseeing earthwork field operations and subcontractors.
• Proven ability to develop proposals and engage clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical project coordination and client engagement.
• Conduct evaluations and calculations for shallow and deep foundations.
• Assess ground improvement, retaining walls, slope stability, pavement sections, and slabs-on-grade.
• Prepare signed and sealed final geotechnical submittals as Engineer of Record.
• Provide field operations oversight for earthworks such as mass grading, drilled shafts, driven piles, and vibration monitoring.
• Attend industry workshops and client meetings to support business development.
