Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior engineer for our northern Minnesota operations. The role focuses on independent engineering analysis, proposal development, and delivery of high-impact projects within a collaborative, ESOP-owned culture.

Offices across three markets offer varied geographies like mining, shoreline/water resources, and municipal/industrial. Competitive sign-on and relocation support are available, along with a 10% target annual bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Geotechnical engineering or closely related field; Master of Science a plus
• Minimum 8 years of direct experience in engineering or materials science related research or consulting services
• Current driver's license; PE license for 4+ years
• Proficient with Microsoft applications

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare proposals for simple to complex projects
• Independently perform engineering analysis using standard formulas and computer software; create sketches, technical comparisons, and similar technical work in compliance with company and industry methodologies for simple to moderately complex projects
• Review field reports documenting contractor work methods, test results, and the interpretation of those tests
• Act as the primary author of deliverables for projects
• Assist with field and lab activities when necessary
• Provide mentorship to junior level field and office team members
• Provide technical and peer review of project deliverables, proposals, and reports before submittal for final review
• Coordinate project assignments with other engineers and technicians within the discipline group
• Direct project teams and projects with significant business impact
• Independently manage small to large sized, low to high complexity CMT projects
