Job summary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in the Jacksonville District seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to evaluate complex embankment and subsurface conditions for dams, levees, and other hydraulic structures in Florida.

You will specialize in advanced seepage analysis, perform 2D/3D modeling, guide field investigations, and lead multidisciplinary teams to develop sound, design-grade solutions for stability and seepage concerns.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer license or registration required.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Geotechnical Engineer technical expert for embankment and subsurface evaluations.
• Lead and participate in 2D/3D numerical modeling of stability and seepage.
• Provide guidance on field investigations and data interpretation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and represent the District in interagency forums.
• Develop and implement training and mentoring to enhance capabilities.
