Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology with 20 additional semester hours in math, physics, chemistry, or related sciences.
• Experience planning and directing geologic field investigations for civil works projects.
• Candidates may qualify via combinations of education and experience per GS 7/9 standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct subsurface exploration studies for geological and hydrogeological problems.
• Conduct site investigations using SCAPS and other methods to assess contamination and groundwater flow.
• Prepare design memoranda, maps, cross-sections, and reports to support engineering decisions.
