Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical tasks and project delivery for wide-ranging civil infrastructure projects in water and transportation markets. Based in Portland, OR or Corvallis, OR, you will mentor staff and manage data collection, analyses, and reporting through construction.

You will engage clients and support business development within a large, interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• MS/PhD in Geotechnical Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• At least 15 years of geotechnical consulting experience, with focus on design-build transportation projects.
• Experience with dams is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor less experienced staff and lead project teams.
• Develop and implement geotechnical data collection programs and analyses.
• Prepare technical reports and contract documents for projects.
• Support project construction and field activities.
• Interact with clients and pursue business development opportunities.
• Assist regional geotechnical leadership and contribute to capabilities growth.
