Ferrovial Construction US Corp. in the United States seeks a Geotechnical Design Segment Manager to lead geotechnical design work for major civil infrastructure projects.

You will guide analyses, design calculations, field and lab coordination, and reports, ensuring compliance with standards and project requirements. You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with clients, designers, and field teams, and help develop proposals, technical notes, and quantity estimates for the Segment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum ten years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• PE license preferred or in progress.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical design, subsurface investigations, soil and rock classification.
• Familiarity with ASTM/local standards and testing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD/engineering design software.
• Strong technical writing, communication, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Geotechnical Design and Technical Support for the Segment: Perform technical work related to geotechnical design tasks and project support to the Segment.
• Support geotechnical design activities for roadway embankments and subgrade, earth slopes, bridge foundations, earth retaining structures, and foundations for minor structures.
• Analyze ground movement predictions, construction impact assessment reports, and mitigation strategies for geotechnical risks.
• Assist with preparing analytical models under direction from the Geotechnical Design Manager or senior staff.
• Prepare geotechnical study proposals, technical notes, reports, and quantity information.
• Review and support geotechnical design calculations and documents prepared by others.
• Evaluate subsurface soil and rock information using ASTM and local standards.
• Interpret soil and rock test data and classify subsurface conditions.
• Apply geotechnical principles to practical design solutions.
• Review construction documents, drawings, and specifications to support design development.
• Discuss geotechnical topics with Client and Designer’s specialists.
• Coordinate with project teams to support timely and accurate deliverables.
• Prepare and review geotechnical reports, proposals, and calculations.
