Bunnell Lammons Engineering is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineering Consultant to lead regional geotechnical projects and mentor engineers. You will manage technical oversight, client relationships, and growth initiatives across our solid waste, mining, and power sectors.

We value collaboration, innovative problem solving, and a strong foundation in geotechnical design, site investigations, and risk-based closures. Travel up to 10% within the southeastern US is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with geotechnical focus; Masters preferred.
• 10-25 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or North Carolina; ability to become licensed in additional southeastern states within six months.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for site meetings, marketing, seminars, and client development within the southeastern US.
• Extensive knowledge of geotechnical design and construction requirements for retaining structures, deep foundations, earthwork, ground improvement, and geosynthetics design.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical oversight, project management, client management, and business development for the Regional Geotech Group under the Geotechnical Department Manager.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to staff and project-level engineers within the geotechnical group.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships with public and private sector stakeholders to drive business growth.
• Review proposals and participate in internal training and business development activities to identify new revenue streams.
• Review written reports to ensure quality and client commitment; adopt new technologies to improve efficiency and reporting.
• Provide expert interpretation of analytical data for projects including design support for solid waste sites and containment geosynthetics.
