Allen Institute for AI is seeking a Senior Research Engineer to deploy OlmoEarth models with partners across domains. You will collaborate with engineers, researchers and partnerships teams to advance the platform from finetuning to model training and backend integration.

Strong experience in ML deployment, PyTorch, and geospatial toolsets will be essential. The role emphasizes independent work, ownership, and clear communication in a mission-driven environment in Seattle.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience deploying machine learning solutions.
• Fluency in PyTorch and debugging training loops.
• Experience with geospatial toolsets and Earth observation.
• Strong written communicator across formats and audiences.
• Ability to operate independently with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deploy OlmoEarth models with partners across domains.
• Collaborate with engineers, researchers, and partnerships teams.
• Contribute to rslearn, fine-tuning, and model pretraining pipelines.
• Improve UI and modeling workflows to help users understand trade-offs.
• Maintain clear partner communications and coordination throughout projects.
