Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Geospatial Developer in Reston to design, build, and support high-impact geospatial apps and data pipelines across our ArcGIS Enterprise environment. The role bridges GIS development with business needs, delivering scalable web apps and automated geoprocessing services.

The ideal candidate has deep ArcGIS expertise (Portal/Server, Experience Builder, Survey123) and experience exposing REST services to external systems and search engines.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and CI polygraph.
• 10+ years in CS or GIS; 2+ years with ArcGIS platform (Server/Portal).
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript (ArcGIS API for JavaScript).
• Experience developing and deploying web-based GIS applications.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and ArcGIS Enterprise services.
• Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Cloud experience (AWS or Azure).
• Ability to build and troubleshoot data pipelines/ETL processes.
• Experience with Git and version control.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Custom Web & Widget Development using ArcGIS Experience Builder (React/TypeScript).
• Integrate widgets with Enterprise Portal maps and services.
• Optimize rendering and UX for analytical workflows.
• Publish and manage robust ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal services with GP tools.
• Expose ArcGIS REST endpoints for external indexing engines.
• Automate geospatial data pipelines and back-end tasks with Python.
• Develop dashboards powering high-performance operations.
• Design and implement automated ETL between spatial databases and dashboards.
• Create Survey123 forms with advanced XLSForm logic.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate workflows into technical specs.
