Job summary

Chenega MIOS invites a Senior Database Engineer to join our team in Vienna, VA. You will design and implement enterprise database solutions using Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA, aligning with geospatial workflows and Esri technology best practices.

You will consult with customers to capture requirements, implement data management strategies, and configure back-end environments with backup, high availability, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, math, GIS, or STEM.
• 5+ years designing and tuning enterprise databases.
• Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust, scalable, secure database solutions for mission-critical apps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams through all project phases.
• Configure and maintain database environments with backup, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Monitor and tune database performance using industry tools and methodologies.
• Implement data security measures and compliance across environments.
• Automate routine database loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks.
• Provide technical guidance on database design, migration, and integration.
• Other duties as assigned.
