The North Carolina Department of Transportation is seeking an Engineering Supervisor II (NS) to lead the Location and Surveys Unit in statewide geomatics analysis for transportation facilities and property acquisition. The role supports the Division Team Lead and serves as a subject matter expert for geomatics engineering across divisions.

You will supervise the geomatics group, guide project planning and evaluation, and ensure adherence to surveying practices while delivering projects on time

Qualifications

• Experience in geomatics engineering practices and surveying standards.
• Ability to supervise and direct a team in a moderately broad area.
• Strong ability to plan, evaluate, and estimate division projects in geomatics.

Responsabilités

• Serve as subject matter expert in geomatics for one of the 14 divisions.
• Provide supervisory and advanced professional work directing the geomatics group.
• Direct staff and Division engineers on geomatics engineering in line with surveying practices.
• Perform complex geomatics engineering work and ensure timely project delivery within budget.
• Ensure uniform geomatics engineering and contract administration practices.
