The State of North Carolina's Department of Transportation seeks an Engineering Specialist II (S) to serve as District Survey Party Chief in Division 9, District 1. This advanced technical role involves analyzing, processing, and supervising survey data and project control networks.

You will work with GPS, Drone and conventional methods, supervise field surveys, and may testify in litigation. Occasional field visits and strict adherence to standards are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or Survey Technology with seven years of related technician experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may satisfy the qualifications.
• Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the District Survey Party Chief in Division 9, District 1 Engineer’s Office.
• Analyze, evaluate, compute, edit, and process high-level survey data.
• Review project control networks using GPS, Drone, and conventional survey methods.
• Supervise and review litigation surveys; may act as an expert witness.
• Make field visits to ensure correct survey formats and standards.
