Job summary

Florida Canyon Mining, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geologist to provide geologic support to mine operations, technical services, processing plants, and refinery process control at the Florida Canyon site in Nevada.

The role focuses on ore quality management, field mapping, drilling and sampling programs, data analysis, and ensuring production plan requirements are met with safe and auditable geological processes. Strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of geology experience, open-pit gold mining preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Knowledge of block modeling and resource estimation.
• Proficiency in computer-based resource modeling and geological software.
• Experience in gold exploration and geostatistics is required.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage priorities, and meet timelines.
• Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Expand geological knowledge by identifying data gaps, drill targets and resource extensions.
• Complete mapping, data compilation, interpretation, and drill program design.
• Develop and maintain geologic modeling, core logging, mapping systems.
• Assist exploration and drilling programs with planning, budgeting, and reporting.
• Support resource estimations and maintain auditable block models.
• Provide geological information to management and supervise geologists and tech staff.
• Oversee infill drill budgets and cost tracking for monthly reporting.
• Promote health, safety, and environmental standards and site initiatives.
• Collaborate with safety, environmental, and operations teams as needed.
