Job summary

Jerritt Canyon is seeking a Senior Modeling and Drilling Geologist to lead gold exploration and resource definition programs in Nevada. You will guide drilling, geological interpretation, and resource modeling while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance across multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires 8–12 years in gold exploration, strong QA/QC experience, and proficiency with Leapfrog Geo, Micromine, Datamine, and GIS tools. A P.Geo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geologic Sciences, or Earth Sciences.
• Master's degree in Economic Geology is an asset.
• Professional Geologist registration preferred.
• 8–12 years of progressively responsible geological experience in gold exploration.
• Experience managing exploration and drilling programs.
• Proficiency with Leapfrog Geo, Micromine, Datamine, Vulcan or similar.
• Experience using GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) and geological databases.
• Knowledge of NI 43-101/JORC or S-K 1300 reporting standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee diamond core and RC drilling programs.
• Lead exploration, near-mine, and resource definition drilling.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls for drill programs.
• Implement QA/QC programs for drilling, sampling, and data.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management.
• Supervise geological staff and field technicians.
• Develop and update geological resource models.
