Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Geology.
• Experience in open-pit gold mining and exploration.
• Strong knowledge of block modeling and resource estimation.
• Proficiency in Vulcan, Leapfrog, ArcGIS, and related software.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Expand geological knowledge by identifying data gaps, drill targets, and resource extension opportunities; design tests and interpret results.
• Complete geological mapping, data compilation, interpretation, drill target recommendations, and drill program design.
• Develop and maintain geological modeling, core logging, and mapping systems.
• Assist with exploration, drilling, and geological modeling programs, including budgets and reporting.
• Ensure resource estimations and models are accurate and timely.
• Provide geological information to management and staff as requested.
• Supervise staff and contract geologists and geo-technicians.
• Promote health, safety, environment, and a respectful work environment.
