Job summary

Brice Engineering LLC seeks a Geologist III to join our team in Anchorage or Fairbanks, AK, Post Falls, ID, Salt Lake City, UT, or Portland, ME. You will collect, synthesize, and document data, supervise field activities, and contribute to project documentation while mentoring junior staff.

The role requires a geology or environmental science degree and 7–15 years of related experience, with strong regulatory knowledge and leadership abilities. A proactive safety culture is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, physical or environmental science, or environmental engineering.
• Seven to fifteen years of experience working on environmental projects.
• Broad understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and oversee site inspections, assessments, investigations, and cleanups following regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with environmental technicians and staff in data collection and evaluation of data for project objectives.
• Prepare technical evaluations of investigated sites.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight for project documentation.
• Review permits, plans, and reports to ensure environmental compliance and restoration objectives.
• Lead and mentor junior staff and act as a technical liaison for clients.
