Job summary

General Atomics seeks a Senior Geologist to lead field and office operations, manage drilling programs, and mentor staff. Responsibilities include data interpretation, regulatory compliance, and budget oversight across exploration and development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Geology; MS/PhD preferred.
• 7+ years geology and project management experience; PG registration preferred.
• Mining ISR experience valued; strong software and modelling skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage exploration and development drilling operations.
• Oversee dirtwork, drill pad preparation, and drill hole planning.
• Apply advanced geologic analyses including logging interpretation and mineralization mapping.
• Review and approve technical plans and reports; mentor staff.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across projects.
• Oversee leases, landowner agreements, and data integrity of databases.
• Communicate with senior management on program progress and issues.
• Travel and relocation to project locations as required.
