Job summary

Odyssey seeks a Principal Systems Engineer at Wright Patterson AFB, OH to lead GEOINT and radar-related systems development. You will integrate DoD-ISR expertise with software/embedded engineering, delivering end-to-end capability across space and air platforms.

Must have TS clearance and a strong background in DoD programs, systems integration, and test planning. The role emphasizes complex system-of-systems engineering and program management for warfighter resources.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field; 12+ years DoD experience or 30 years related experience with DoD not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; 15+ years DoD experience; 25+ years total experience alternative.
• Expertise in GEOINT, radars, satellites, signal processing, or similar field.
• Background as software/systems/embedded engineer; strong OO programming (C++, Python, Java, C#).

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to the ISR/SOF Directorate on development, demonstration, and transition of advanced ISR technologies.
• Apply knowledge of DoD RDT&E, logistics, and acquisition programs.
• Develop and test radar phenomenology for space-based and ground-based systems; support data links and sensor development.
• Translate user needs into system requirements and review architecture, interfaces, and test plans.
• Support DoD DoD 5000.01/5000.02 principles and AFLCMC policies in engineering tasks.
