Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Geoenvironmental Engineer to lead and grow our geoenvironmental practice in multiple locations in the U.S.

You will oversee complex investigations, design, permitting, and compliance for landfills, remediation sites, and related facilities. The role requires a PE license, 8+ years of experience in geoenvironmental or geotechnical engineering, and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, engage clients, and drive business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, geological engineering, or related discipline (required).
• Advanced degree in the same (preferred).
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration (required).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage solid waste and remediation projects including landfills, remediation sites, transfer stations, surface impoundments, and related geoenvironmental systems.
• Provide strategic technical guidance and practical solutions for geoenvironmental engineering, operational, permitting, and compliance issues.
• Support practice growth through business development, client relationship management and preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
• Oversee project execution from investigation through permitting, design, construction, operations support, closure, and post‑closure monitoring.
• Provide senior technical input and quality review for evaluations, design documents, reports, and permit applications.
• Lead or support geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, site evaluations, and monitoring programs.
• Support planning, regulatory strategy, due diligence, and litigation support with analyses and defensible documentation.
• Mentor staff in problem-solving, project execution, and client interaction.
