Job summary

Regeneron is seeking a Scientist to join the Genotyping Group in Tarrytown, NY. You will genotype complex GM models using state-of-the-art platforms to support R&D and drug discovery.

Responsibilities include high-throughput DNA isolation, qPCR setup on Hamilton and Beckman liquid handlers, data analysis with LIMS, and reporting results to collaborators. Experience with rodent genetics and automation is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of biology/molecular biology experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in biology, molecular biology, or related sciences.
• Strong scientific rigor and curiosity in rodent genetics.
• Preferred experience in screening or automation laboratories and familiarity with coding (R, Python, Shiny).

Responsibilities

• Process biopsy samples for DNA extraction and genotyping analysis.
• Use high-throughput automation to isolate DNA from stem cells and rodent samples.
• Select and implement genotyping methods to prioritize workflows.
• Operate Hamilton and Beckman liquid handlers for qPCR setup and master mix preparation.
• Coordinate multiple steps to begin aliquoting qPCR master mixes.
• Set up complex qPCR reactions across multiple platforms.
• Run qPCR and analyze data with custom tools; report results via LIMS.
• Perform conventional PCR or Southern Blotting as needed.
• Maintain sample management systems and assay inventory.
