Job summary

Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. (ERCOT) seeks an engineer to coordinate generation interconnection and energy storage integration from entry to commercial operation. The role includes security studies, modeling data creation, and reactor for NMMS modeling.

Responsibilities span reviewing SGIA, conducting security screenings, and coordinating with MPs, IE entities, REs, DSPs and TSPs to ensure reliability and compliance with ERCOT protocols and market rules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience for Engineer 2 level; 3+ years for Engineer 3; 5+ years for Senior Engineer.
• Experience in the electric utility industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the generation interconnection and energy storage integration from initial application to commercial operations.
• Review and ensure compliance with NERC reliability standards, ERCOT protocols and market rules.
• Review SGIA, interconnection modeling data, and NMMS network modeling inputs.
• Attend FIS kickoff meetings; liaise with MPs, IEs, REs, DSPs and TSPs to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain tools to automate interconnection studies and processes.
• Provide training to engineers and draft improvements to procedures and protocols.
