Job summary

Apple in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Software Engineer to bridge foundation models with end-user experiences, building robust, fast, and secure generative features across Siri, Spotlight and Safari. You will design and implement intelligent UI experiences that leverage LLMs and orchestrate data and services for low-latency model delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry related experience
• Experience with prompt engineering and prompt tuning techniques
• Opinionated product-sense and focus on the end user-experience
• Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Proficient in C/C++, Go, Python, Java
• Translating requirements into engineering tasks
• Bachelor's in Computer Science or 2 years of equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Engineering Model-Driven Products: Build the software layer translating foundation model capabilities into generative UI experiences.
• Complex Integrations & Privacy: Orchestrate ML APIs with internal data and services for secure data handling.
• Championing the User Experience: Collaborate with design and product teams for intuitive generative UI paradigms.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Define system contracts with ML infra, data, and core platform teams.
• Evaluation & Telemetry Tooling: Develop frameworks and tooling to measure real-time model performance.
• Global Reach & Mentorship: Work with globalization team and mentor engineers.
