Job summary

Citi is expanding its Generative AI capabilities in Irving, TX, building an enterprise-grade AI platform that supports software delivery from analysis to deployable code. The AVP role focuses on production-grade AI agents, async Python services, and robust testing in a hybrid work setup.

You will ship multi-agent workflows, integrate external tools (JIRA, GitHub), and contribute to observability and secure coding practices while collaborating with a global engineering team.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with track record of shipping production software.
• Strong CS fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, OS, networking, and database design/optimization.
• Advanced Python (async, typing, dependency management) and solid software engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production AI agents covering product analysis, requirements capture, UI prototyping, backlog generation, and automated code implementation with PR creation.
• Implement multi-agent workflows using the Google ADK, including sub-agent orchestration, human-in-the-loop gates, and agent-to-agent messaging.
• Integrate Gemini and Claude into pipelines via enterprise gateways, with prompt engineering and structured tool calls.
• Connect agents to enterprise systems (Engineering docs, JIRA, GitHub) via MCP-style interfaces.
• Build RAG pipelines with vector search, embeddings, and clustering to ground agent responses.
• Write tests, ensure observability, and maintain CI/CD and containerized deployments.
