Job summary

Citigroup seeks an experienced Senior Generative AI Developer to design and implement state-of-the-art AI solutions across its enterprise Controls Technology platform. You will work with cross-functional teams, focusing on context engineering, graph-based retrieval, and multi-agent orchestration rather than model training.

You will architect scalable agent systems atop hosted foundation models, ensuring governance, safety, and production readiness with robust observability and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on expertise in core generative AI concepts including foundation models and embeddings.
• Advanced prompt engineering and dynamic context orchestration experience.
• Strong experience building RAG systems with multi-vector retrieval.
• Knowledge graph design and Graph RAG pipelines (Neo4j/ArangoDB).
• Proven agentic AI systems development with tool calling and memory.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI architects to design generative and agentic AI solutions addressing business challenges.
• Architect context layering, memory management, and token efficiency for production reliability.
• Design and implement prompt engineering and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methods.
• Build and optimize RAG systems including hybrid search and multi-vector retrieval.
• Develop knowledge graphs and Graph RAG for multi-hop, explainable reasoning.
• Create agentic workflows using ADK and other frameworks with robust governance.
• Integrate agents with tools via MCP and Agent2Agent protocols.
• Support production deployment, observability, and maintainability of AI apps.
• Mentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge.
