Job summary

Citigroup Inc. seeks a Lead Agentic AI Engineer to drive design, development, and integration of Generative AI solutions across the Controls Technology platform.

You will orchestrate context engineering, RAG, and graph-based retrieval with multi-agent workflows in production environments. The role requires deep expertise in LLMs, embeddings, and safety, plus strong collaboration across teams and mentoring of juniors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or related field.
• 5–7 years of AI/software development experience focused on Generative and agentic AI.
• Portfolio of AI-driven projects in business environments.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure for AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to design and implement generative and agentic AI solutions for business challenges.
• Architect context engineering strategies, memory management, and token efficiency for production.
• Design RAG systems with hybrid search, multi-vector retrieval, and re-ranking pipelines.
• Build knowledge graphs and Graph RAG pipelines for multi-hop reasoning and explainability.
• Design agent workflows and multi-agent systems using ADK and related frameworks.
• Ensure governance, sandboxing, and robust observability in production agents.
