Job summary

Aligned Data Centers, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead power plant initiatives from concept to completion at our facilities in the United States.

You will manage schedules, budgets, and vendor contracts while coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, and regulators to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time delivery of projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field; master’s preferred.
• 10–15 years in the utility sector, with focus on power generation.
• 8–12 years in development, permitting, procurement, and construction of power plants.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of power plant project from conceptual development through completion, ensuring regulatory and permitting compliance.
• Serve as primary liaison between owner, architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Lead project planning and scheduling to align resources and timelines with milestones.
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to budget, providing regular reports to the owner.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones and deadlines.
• Implement quality control measures and conduct site inspections for deviations from plans.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure safety and compliance.
• Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Facilitate clear communication among project team and resolve conflicts.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and change orders for transparency.
• Oversee procurement processes and ensure timely, cost-effective acquisitions.
• Coordinate with engineering, environmental, and regulatory teams for industry standards.
• Supervise construction activities safely and within budget.
• Conduct site inspections and progress meetings to address issues.
• Engage with government agencies, utility partners, and data center management for updates.

• Conduct site inspections and regular project meetings to monitor progress, identify issues, and implement solutions.
• Engage with key stakeholders, including government agencies, utility partners, and data center management, providing regular project updates and ensuring alignment of goals.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and permitting files, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor and lead project team members while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• 10-15 years of experience in the utility sector, with a strong emphasis on power generation.
• 8 -12 years of demonstrated experience in the development, permitting, procurement, and construction power plants, preferably reciprocating internal combustion engines or simple cycle gas turbines.
• At least 8 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, demonstrating leadership of cross‑functional teams and complex capital projects.
• Proven experience in construction project management, with a focus on EPC experience.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
• In‑depth knowledge of utility regulations, environmental laws, and safety standards applicable to power plant construction.
• Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, effective in managing diverse teams and collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

• PE, PMP or PMI‑SCP equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Experience with renewable generation and battery energy storage systems in addition to gas‑fired generation is a plus.
• Familiarity with utility interconnections procedures.
