Job summary

ERCOT seeks a power systems engineer to join its interconnection team, supporting generation and energy storage interconnection from initial application through commercial operation approvals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field, 1–5 years (Engineer 2/3) or more for Senior, and experience in the electric utility industry is preferred. Excellent communication and independent work style are valued.

• Be able to work independently on assignments and projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates generation and energy storage interconnection through the entire interconnection process.
• Reviews and processes interconnection and FIS applications.
• Performs security screening studies and reviews SGIA and FIS scope/reports.
• Develops and maintains modeling data for interconnection phases.
• Supports NMMS modeling and Commissioning Plan review.
