Job summary

Top Quality Recruitment is assisting a growing corrugated packaging manufacturer in southern Alabama to recruit a General Manager who will provide strategic and operational leadership for the facility.

The role requires hands‑on manufacturing knowledge, strong financial acumen, and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams across production, maintenance, warehousing, logistics, safety, quality, and commercial functions to improve profitability and service.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field; 10+ years progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
Strong experience in corrugated packaging manufacturing and cross-functional leadership.
Proven financial management capabilities including budgeting, cost control, and profitability improvement.
Experience implementing Lean, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.
Ability to lead department managers, develop supervisors, and build high-performing teams.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for daily corrugated packaging manufacturing operations and ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
Oversee corrugating and converting, production scheduling, maintenance, and material flow.
Develop and monitor KPIs to improve throughput, efficiency, waste reduction, and costs.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and capex planning in collaboration with regional leadership.
Foster a culture of accountability, employee development, and cross-functional collaboration.
