Job summary

Huntington National Bank in Texas is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the Commercial Accounting group. You will review complex reconciliations, research accounting data, and assist with reviewing general ledger journal entries.

The role emphasizes timely, accurate reconciliations, GAAP compliance, and supporting quarter-end reporting. You will also prepare and upload journal entries and provide guidance to junior staff while collaborating in a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics required.
• 7+ years of accounting, financial reporting and/or regulatory experience.
• CPA certification is a plus and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently reconcile complex general ledger accounts in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with accounting principles and bank policies.
• Research issues with complex GL accounts and perform financial analysis.
• Research and resolve differences promptly and accurately.
