Job summary

PCA is a Fortune 500 company focused on corrugated packaging. The Senior Accounting Associate maintains accounting records and produces timely reports in line with GAAP and company policies.

The role includes posting to the GL, processing AP/AR, payroll support, and assisting with month-end closes. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years in accounting, and proficiency with automated payroll systems and MS Office/Excel.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school diploma required.
• Three (3) years' experience in a business office / accounting function with exposure to GL, payroll, and/or AP.
• Experience using automated accounting/payroll systems.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Post entries to the general ledger accurately and balance accounts.
• Process accounts payable transactions and batch payments.
• Post, audit, and collect accounts receivable transactions with corrections as needed.
• Follow up on customer accounts, including credit and collections.
• Support weekly hourly payroll processing and month-end closings.
• Maintain payroll files and assist with record keeping and reporting.
