Job summary

Explorer Pipeline, Inc. seeks an experienced accountant to join our Tulsa-based finance team. The role focuses on general accounting, journal entries, period close, and compliance with DOT, OSHA, FERC and other regulatory requirements.

Requires a bachelor’s in accounting, at least five years of experience, and CPA certification. The successful candidate will support 1099 processing, vendor and vendor payments, cash postings, and internal control processes to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting systems and internal controls.
• CPA certification and a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Responsibilities

• Enter journal entries in the accounting system with accurate coding.
• Prepare and process Forms 1099 and vendor information verification.
• Closeout expenses, inventory, and AFE transactions in the accounting system.
• Manage utility and power accounting, including invoice review and accruals.
• Record cash transactions, reconcile cash accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare reconciliations for various accounts and maintain audit documentation.
• Lead the MOC process for AP vendors and AR shippers.
