Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) seeks an experienced General Counsel for NRS/GTC to lead the legal function, report to the CEO, and partner with executive leadership to support growth, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in ERISA, Collective Investment Trusts, LLC structures, and securities law, plus a track record managing external counsel and shaping in-house legal operations.

Qualificações

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar in good standing.
• Minimum of 10 years legal experience in law firm and/or in-house.
• Expertise in ERISA, CIT structures, LLCs, and securities law.
• Experience managing external counsel, including budgeting and workload.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the in-house legal function and advise the CEO, executive team, and board.
• Develop and execute the company’s legal strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee ERISA, CITs, LLCs, and securities compliance and governance.
• Manage external counsel, budgeting, and matter staffing for cost efficiency.
• Draft, review, and negotiate strong commercial agreements and templates.
