Job summary

AE Studio is seeking its first in-house lawyer in the United States to scale the legal function as the company grows. You will play a pivotal role across commercial transactions, IP, and governance, collaborating with founders and outside counsel.

You’ll lead NDAs, vendor agreements, employment, and corporate governance while shaping terms for outcome-based work, research grants, and collaborations with government, labs, and universities.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in commercial transactions and technology/AI work.
• Judgment, business instinct, and ability to scale the function.
• Integrity and discretion with sensitive matters.

Responsibilities

• Scale the legal function alongside founders and executives.
• Lead NDAs, vendor agreements, employment, and governance workflows.
• Shape and negotiate terms for productized, outcome-based work and government collaborations.
• Support research grants, government contracts, and university partnerships.
