Job summary

UC Davis Health seeks a General Accountant 4 to perform highly complex professional accounting duties for the Health System. You will lead complex financial analyses, develop accounting systems, and present statements and ad-hoc reports to senior management.

You'll guide staff, support audits, and drive process improvements across multiple departments. The role requires GASB expertise, Excel prowess, and strong analytical skills, with involvement in monthly close, audits, and cross-training

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years accounting experience.
• Experience using a General Ledger system.
• Excellent Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, IFs, Sumifs, and Pivot Tables.
• Experience leading projects from start to finish with little direction.
• Experience with Power BI to summarize and report large data sets.
• GASB knowledge and governmental accounting principles.
• Strong analytical, statistical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to summarize and report large data sets across multiple systems.
• Proven teamwork within a multi-functional team.
• Ability to apply advanced accounting concepts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
