Job summary

Charles Schwab is seeking a Senior Manager of Software Development and Engineering in Thinkorswim SAvE to design and deliver scalable AI solutions. You will build Python-based data pipelines and cloud integrations that connect enterprise apps with Generative AI, collaborating with architects, engineers, data scientists, and business partners.

You will lead with a focus on testing, observability, and operations, mentoring others while advancing production readiness of AI-enabled products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data engineering, engineering, mathematics, analytics, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of software engineering, data engineering, or related experience delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
• Advanced Python development for data processing, system integrations, and pipeline development.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting GenAI, LLM, or Agentic applications in cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Cloud Run, Storage, Dataflow) or equivalent.
• Experience integrating APIs, distributed systems, and enterprise applications.
• Data accuracy management with validation and quality controls throughout data lifecycle.
• Strong problem solving and debugging of production issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Experience developing automated testing strategies and modern source-control practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver scalable, production-grade AI-powered data pipelines and cloud integrations.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, data scientists, and business partners to translate needs into secure systems.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to strengthen testing, monitoring, and observability.
• Move emerging AI concepts into production delivering consistent business value and client outcomes.
• Support and improve reliability of enterprise applications with robust testing, monitoring, and deploy practices.
