Job summary

Discover International is seeking a seasoned AI software engineer to lead the semantic layer and GenAI initiatives on Snowflake. You will design, implement, and operate the semantic layer, Cortex Analyst views, and metrics pipelines, translating client requirements into reliable data products.

You will collaborate with product and client teams, define metrics, write production-grade SQL and Python, and shape architecture for RAG and agentic systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software/AI engineering experience, including hands-on design of AI/ML systems.
• Deep, hands-on experience with Snowflake, including Snowpark, Cortex, and Snowflake ML.
• Hands-on experience building semantic layers on Snowflake and modeling business logic for AI/agent consumption.
• Experience delivering metrics and reporting off of a semantic layer for clients.
• Demonstrated experience designing GenAI/agentic systems: RAG, MCP-based tooling, evaluation harnesses.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain the Snowflake semantic layer and metrics definitions.
• Build and deliver metrics and reporting for clients from the semantic layer.
• Write production-grade SQL and Python to support semantic layer configuration and reporting pipelines.
• Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems and agentic workflows on Snowflake.
• Own technical architecture decisions for AI systems built on Snowflake, guiding client engagements.
