Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist with expertise in large language models and agentic systems to build state-of-the-art multi-agent solutions. You will drive end-to-end GenAI projects and collaborate with engineers to productionize models.

You'll research innovative ML approaches, analyze large datasets, and present findings to leadership, enabling scalable data-driven decisions across teams in Seattle. Experience with foundational models is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of building models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, high-performance computing.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end GenAI projects with high complexity and ambiguity from conception to production.
• Build, optimize, and deploy ML models while collaborating with software engineers for productionization.
• Research innovative machine learning approaches and identify new opportunities for GenAI applications.
• Perform hands-on analysis and modeling of large datasets to develop actionable insights.
• Establish scalable, automated processes for data analysis, model development, and validation.
• Present results to senior leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
