GE Vernova is building a dedicated team to leverage Generative AI and redefine how we engage with our industry. We are seeking a motivated Prompt Engineer to create and optimize prompts for LLMs, collaborate with domain experts, and develop software solutions that address internal and external needs.

Responsibilities include translating business needs into prompts, testing and refining outputs, integrating LLMs with applications, and contributing to a scalable framework for prompt engineering.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Computer Science, AI, ML or related fields.
• Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI/ML or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience with prompt engineering and familiarity with GPT models, Hugging Face, etc.
• 3+ years of experience with Python or other AI/ML programming languages.
• Experience with PyTorch and data processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain experts to understand business needs and translate them into clear, effective LLM prompts.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts for a variety of use cases with high accuracy and relevance.
• Work with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into existing or new applications.
• Contribute to a scalable framework for prompt engineering, promoting reuse and knowledge sharing.
• Document prompt engineering processes and outcomes to build a knowledge base.
