Job summary

Citi's global Innovation Labs seeks a Senior GenAI Platform Engineer to spearhead design and development of scalable GenAI platforms. You will architect AI solutions using Python, Node.js, and TypeScript, guiding complex projects and collaborating with data science, risk, and business teams across Citi.

The role emphasizes leadership, architectural design, and hands-on delivery of enterprise-grade GenAI products, with strong emphasis on governance and cloud-native practices.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software with enterprise-grade focus.
• 6+ years building scalable platforms and services using modern libraries.
• 5+ years delivering backend APIs/microservices into production.
• Proven GenAI, AI ops, and monitoring experience.
• Public cloud experience and architecture familiarity.
• Strong leadership and clear communication skills.
• Financial industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of complex GenAI platforms and services.
• Ensure scalability and integration of AI capabilities across Citi units.
• Collaborate with data science, tech, and business teams to shape architecture.
• Drive deployment of GenAI products and process improvements with partners.
• Guide projects through evaluation of processes, systems, and standards.
• Provide guidance on coding standards, testing, and enterprise practices.
• Manage multiple initiatives and coordinate with external vendors.
• Advise mid-level developers and analysts to grow AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with Risk and Control to ensure governance and tooling standards.
