Amazon is seeking a Senior Applied Scientist for the Sponsored Products team in Seattle to lead ML and GenAI efforts across advertising, retrieval, ranking, and optimization. You will drive end-to-end ML projects from problem framing to production, deploying models with software engineers and influencing the business through data-driven insights.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years building ML models with ML/DL, NLP and GenAI experience, and track record mentoring scientists.

Formación

• 3+ years of building machine learning models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's degree with 6+ years of applied research experience.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language.
• Experience with neural deep learning methods and machine learning.
• Experience in NLP/ speech recognition and related systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead end-to-end ML projects with high ambiguity, scale, and complexity.
• Build, optimize, and deploy ML models into production with engineers.
• Establish scalable data analysis, model development, validation, and serving processes.
• Apply LLMs and GenAI techniques to production-grade applications.
• Analyze large-scale data to drive insights for commerce and shopper experience.
• Design and run A/B experiments and perform statistical analysis.
• Research and prototype innovative ML approaches for production use.
• Recruit, mentor, and grow Applied Scientists on the team.
• Collaborate across teams to shape ML strategy and roadmaps.
