Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design and deliver AI-driven solutions for global investment banking and brokerage operations. You will leverage Python, PySpark, and cloud-native AI platforms to build scalable, governance-forward models and GenAI applications.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG, Agentic AI frameworks, and FastAPI, aligned with enterprise compliance and security standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI Engineering, or related fields.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing and model development.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, and Microservices Architecture.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG Architectures, and Agentic AI Frameworks.
• Strong expertise in Azure Machine Learning, Azure OpenAI Service, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.
• Experience developing and deploying enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced machine learning models to analyze large financial datasets.
• Build predictive models and risk models for investment banking and brokerage functions.
• Perform model validation, back-testing, and experimentation with historical data.
• Design enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI Service.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) apps and agent-based systems to automate workflows.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business challenges into analytical solutions.
• Ensure governance, security, and responsible AI practices across deployments.
