Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design and deliver advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions for global investment banking and brokerage operations. You will work with Python, PySpark, Azure Machine Learning, Generative AI, and Full Stack development to build enterprise-grade AI apps and data products.

The role emphasizes collaboration with business stakeholders, governance of AI capabilities, and robust MLOps within Azure cloud offerings.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI Engineering, or related fields.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and PySpark for large-scale data processing.
• Strong experience with FastAPI, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG architectures, and Agentic AI frameworks.
• Experience deploying enterprise-grade AI/ML solutions in cloud environments, especially Azure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced ML models to analyze large financial datasets.
• Build predictive, classification, clustering, forecasting, and risk models for investment banking workflows.
• Perform model validation, back-testing, and experimentation with historical data.
• Develop Generative AI solutions using Azure OpenAI Service and vector databases.
• Lead Python full-stack development of scalable backend services and AI apps.
