Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior GenAI Engineer to join our team.

You will build GenAI-powered capabilities across the full stack, integrating LLM providers, MCP tooling, and agentic workflows to deliver responsive, scalable experiences. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to translate requirements into robust interfaces and backend services, handle streaming outputs, tool execution, and human-in-the-loop safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of hands-on professional experience.
• Experience with LLM providers such as Claude or OpenAI.
• Hands-on MCP design and MCP server work.
• Experience designing multi-step agentic workflows.
• Full-stack experience: React/TypeScript frontend; Python/FastAPI or Node.js backend.
• Experience streaming responses and producing structured outputs.
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Take part in the full lifecycle of feature development from concept to deployment.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Build and maintain intuitive, responsive user interfaces.
• Develop and maintain backend services powering core functionality.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to shape product direction.
• Troubleshoot performance, stability, and usability issues.
• Contribute to code reviews to uphold quality standards.
• Document technical decisions and workflows for knowledge sharing.
• Estimate effort and timelines and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging tools and approaches.
