Job summary

Cognizant in the United States seeks an experienced Data Scientist with deep expertise in Data Science, ML, MLE, GenAI, and LLMs to design and productionize enterprise AI solutions. The role spans problem formulation, model development, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring across the ML lifecycle.

You will build and evaluate ML models using Python, integrate GenAI-based applications, and collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to translate business needs into scalable AI

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of experience in Data Science / ML.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience deploying ML models to production and building ML pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced ML/Data Science solutions for complex business problems.
• Build, train, evaluate, and optimize ML models using structured and unstructured data.
• Develop GenAI and LLM-based applications, including conversational AI and information extraction.
• Work with pre-trained LLMs and apply prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
• Design and implement RAG solutions leveraging enterprise data sources.
• Build robust data and ML pipelines for training, inference, and deployment.
• Apply MLE principles to ensure scalable, reliable, production-ready AI apps.
• Develop solutions using Python and common ML/AI frameworks.
• Experiment with models, prompts, and evaluation techniques to improve quality.
• Implement LLM evaluation/monitoring for accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with engineering/product/data teams to translate requirements.
• Stay current with GenAI/LLMs/MLOps developments.
